Saturday : Rio de Janiero Tour

After breakfast, we will meet our guide in the hotel lobby for a morning tour of Rio, beginning with a cog train ride through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, up to the most beautiful postcard of Rio: the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue on the mountain of Corcovado located 2,330 feet above sea level and inaugurated in 1931. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio can be seen including Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of the Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon. After the Corcovado visit, we return to the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city on your own. You might want to join one of the many free street parades or just relax on the beach or hotel pool. At night, you may want to experience one of the many Carnival Balls.
